Trial Paralegal

Houston, Texas | Commercial Litigation

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Trial Paralegal to join its Houston Commercial Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of litigation experience, including significant civil trial experience, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of complex commercial litigation and trial.

• Coordinate trial preparation, exhibits, presentations, logistics, and in-court support.

• Draft pleadings and discovery responses and assist with motions and appellate matters.

• Manage e-discovery, document review, productions, and document-intensive files.

• Work with clients, outside counsel, Litigation Support teams, and vendors.

• Utilize Relativity, TrialDirector, PowerPoint, Excel, and LexisNexis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience with substantial trial experience.

• Strong knowledge of commercial litigation, e-discovery, and ESI protocols.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and proofreading skills.

• Self-starter who can manage competing priorities and work effectively on a team.

• TBLS, NALA, or NFPA certification preferred.

• Ability to work overtime and travel as needed for trial.
