Quality Inspector – Pressure Relief Valves
Contract-to-Hire
Up to $25/hr
Stafford, TX (Southwest Houston)
Are you experienced with pressure relief valves and passionate about quality? We're seeking a Quality Inspector to perform final inspections on repaired valves, verify testing and documentation, and ensure products meet customer and industry requirements before shipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform final inspections on repaired pressure relief valves
- Verify valve assembly, workmanship, and overall quality
- Review repair documentation, inspection reports, and testing records
- Confirm set pressure, seat tightness, and test results meet specifications
- Verify traceability, identification tags, and nameplate information
- Ensure repair packages are complete and audit-ready
- Identify nonconforming products and coordinate corrective actions
- Support quality initiatives and maintain compliance with company procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with pressure relief valves
- Background in valve repair, testing, inspection, or quality assurance
- Ability to read repair documentation and technical drawings
- Experience reviewing quality records and inspection reports
- Familiarity with inspection and measuring equipment
- Knowledge of valve testing and quality processes
Preferred
- National Board (NBIC) or VR Program experience
- Experience in a valve repair shop or industrial valve service environment
- Mechanical or industrial maintenance background
