Billing Clerk | Central Houston | Full-Time -$25/hr

We are seeking an experienced Billing Clerk to join our growing team in Central Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on accuracy, and takes pride in ensuring customers are billed correctly and on time.
This position offers the opportunity to be involved in the full billing process while also gaining exposure to cash application functions through cross-training. If you are highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy investigating discrepancies and solving problems, we would love to speak with you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Review and audit work orders to ensure billing aligns with customer contract terms
- Verify dispatch coding and billing classifications for accuracy
- Perform test billing and validate charges before invoices are issued
- Update and correct invoices based on feedback from sales and dispatch teams
- Manage billing cycles and ensure invoices are prepared and delivered on schedule
- Respond to internal billing inquiries and assist with issue resolution
- Cross-train in cash application processes to provide team support as needed
- Participate in process improvements and special projects
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of well-rounded Accounts Receivable experience
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on billing experience
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and help implement solutions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and support others
