Our client a rapidly growing downtown law firm with approximately 70–75 employees and an exciting trajectory ahead is hiring.
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented HR Assistant to support  accounting, billing, human resources, and general administrative functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a collaborative team and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.

Position Summary

The HR Assistant will provide day-to-day support across multiple operational areas, including accounting, billing, HR administration, employee onboarding and offboarding, and other administrative projects. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable managing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Administer employee benefit enrollments, including:
    • Health insurance
    • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
    • 401(k) plans
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support compliance and policy-related administrative tasks.

Accounting & Billing

  • Assist with accounts payable processing and vendor management.
  • Support billing and accounting functions as needed.
  • Work within the firm's payable systems, including Coyote.
  • Assist with process improvements and technology initiatives as the firm continues to automate and streamline administrative workflows.

Administrative Support

  • Manage general administrative projects and special assignments.
  • Coordinate internal communications and documentation.
  • Support firm leadership and operational teams with miscellaneous administrative needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and financial information.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's degree or completion of at least two years of college, plus 1–3 years of professional administrative experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Prior experience working in a law firm or legal office environment.
