A respected Houston law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Coordinator to manage the full-cycle legal billing process. This role works closely with attorneys and the accounting team to ensure accurate, timely billing and compliance with client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, review, and process prebills and invoices
  • Edit billing narratives and implement attorney billing revisions
  • Manage trust accounting, retainers, and unallocated cash reconciliations
  • Maintain client and matter billing information
  • Prepare and submit LEDES invoices through e-billing platforms
  • Monitor UTBMS coding compliance and resolve billing submission issues
  • Collaborate with attorneys and finance personnel to meet billing deadlines

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of legal billing experience in a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of legal billing systems, LEDES formats, and UTBMS coding
  • Experience with e-billing platforms such as CounselLink, Legal Tracker, Tymetrix, CounselGo, Brightflag, or BillingPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
