VP Funding/Sales – Austin, TX (onsite/downtown)
An Alternative Lending Representative is a high-volume, B2B sales role focused on providing non-traditional financing (such as Merchant Cash Advances, invoice factoring, lines of credit, equipment finance or revenue-based financing) to small and medium-sized businesses. These representatives act as the primary contact for business owners who may not qualify for traditional bank loans, managing the entire sales cycle from cold call to funding.
Core Responsibilities
- High-Volume In and Outbound calls: Conduct daily cold calls, emails, and social media touches to prospect new business owners and handle inbound clients/prospects.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle, including pitching, analyzing bank statements, structuring deals, and driving the process to funding.
- Consultative Selling: Analyze business financial health, revenue, and cash flow to offer tailored capital solutions.
- Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with merchants to foster trust, secure renewals, and gain referrals.
- Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly funding, revenue, and call volume quotas.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Sales Drive: Experience in “hunter” roles, particularly in Merchant Cash Advance (MCA), Independent Sales Organization (ISO) sales, or high-pressure, commission-driven environments.
- Negotiation & Closing: Ability to negotiate deal terms, handle objections, and close deals quickly.
- Financial Literacy: Basic math proficiency to calculate factors rates, percentages, and deal structures.
Responsible for working with small and mid-sized business owners to identify their problems, the impact of those problems, the root cause of the problems and what affect those problems are having on their emotional state.
