Legal Assistant opportunity – Downtown Dallas

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements

  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and presentations

  • Manage client communications, ensuring timely and professional responses

  • Coordinate and assist with filings in state and federal courts, including e-filing procedures

  • Maintain and organize case files, records, and confidential documents

  • Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court schedules and internal timelines

  • Assist with billing processes, expense reports, and time entry management

  • Support business development efforts, including preparation of materials and coordination of events

  • Liaise with clients, court personnel, and internal teams to facilitate workflow and communication

Practice Area Experience

  • Experience supporting attorneys in commercial litigation, including drafting and formatting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

  • Understanding of trial preparation, including exhibit organization, deposition coordination, and trial binder assembly

  • Experience managing large, document-intensive cases and utilizing e-discovery platforms is strongly preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • 3+ years of administrative or legal support experience, preferably in a professional services environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
