Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Probate Litigation Paralegal to support our attorneys in contested probate matters in The Woodlands. This role involves assisting with all phases of probate litigation, including will contests, fiduciary disputes, and guardianship litigation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has strong experience in litigation procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with all stages of probate litigation, from case inception through trial

Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and subpoenas

Manage discovery process, including document production, review, and organization
-
Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial settings
-
Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings
-
File documents electronically in Texas state courts (e-filing)
-
Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
-
Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other trial materials
-
Assist attorneys during hearings, mediations, and trial
-
Conduct legal and factual research related to probate disputes
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience, with probate litigation strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and probate court processes

Experience with discovery, trial preparation, and case management
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

High attention to detail and ability to work independently

Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
Preferred Skills:

Experience with contested estates, will contests, fiduciary litigation, or guardianship disputes

Familiarity with e-discovery tools and document review platforms

Trial experience and courtroom support

Ability to handle sensitive family and financial disputes with professionalism
