Growing Texas based law firm dedicated to serving homeowners associations, condominium boards, and community associations is adding an attorney to the growing team
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HOA Attorney to provide legal counsel to homeowners associations and community boards. This role involves advising clients on governance, compliance, collections, disputes, and general corporate matters affecting community associations.
Key Responsibilities:

Advise HOA and condominium boards on governing documents, bylaws, and rules enforcement

Provide guidance on federal, state, and local laws impacting community associations

Draft, review, and amend governing documents, contracts, and policies
-
Handle collections, liens, and foreclosure proceedings related to delinquent assessments
-
Represent clients in litigation, mediation, and dispute resolution matters
-
Attend board meetings and provide legal guidance as needed
-
Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and other regulatory requirements
-
Collaborate with property managers and board members to address legal concerns proactively
Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
-
Active license to practice law in Texas
-
3+ years of experience in HOA, real estate, or community association law preferred
-
Strong knowledge of property law, contract law, and civil litigation
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple clients and matters efficiently

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:

Experience with collections and foreclosure processes

Familiarity with fair housing regulations

Litigation and courtroom experience

Ability to work directly with boards and non-legal stakeholders
