Job Title: Title Examiner ?????

Location: Wall, NJ (hybrid role) ??

Key Responsibilities:

Title Examination:

  • Review and meticulously analyze title reports, public records, and legal documents to identify any defects or issues that could jeopardize an insurable title. ??

Active Curative Work:

  • Skillfully resolve complex title defects, including but not limited to outstanding liens, judgments, unpaid taxes, mortgage releases, heirship issues, and boundary disputes. ???

Document Preparation:

  • Proficiently draft, obtain, and file corrective documents such as affidavits, quitclaim deeds, and satisfaction of mortgage documents. ??

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Engage with clients, lenders, attorneys, and property owners to secure necessary documentation and offer timely status updates. ???

Compliance:

  • Ensure all curative actions adhere to state, federal, and company regulations to uphold compliance standards. ???

Risk Management:

  • Independently assess title risks and make informed decisions on whether issues warrant escalation. ??

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in title examination or curative work. ??

Knowledge:

  • Advanced understanding of real estate laws, title insurance policies, and search procedures. ??

Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail, adept problem-solving abilities, and exemplary professional communication skills. ??

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in utilizing title software and online public record databases. ??
