Legal Billing Manager needed for Boutique Real Estate Firm
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Self-motivated learns quickly anticipates the needs of management and has the ability to discreetly handle confidential information.
• Must be able to communicate in a clear concise and effective manner both orally and in writing
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Draft time entries and bills for attorney review
• Data entry managing accounts utilizing Amicus Online
• Prepare and maintain accurate billing records and reports
• Edit invoices to correct typos, grammar errors and ensure proper sentences structure
• Coordinate with attorneys/paralegals to improve descriptions of activities to ensure the bills demonstrate progress and value
• Coordinate with timekeepers to resolve procedural errors, such as duplication or time entered on wrong file
• Follow up on overdue accounts
• Maintain billing and other files
• Helping with other office duties – mailing and answering phone calls
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or its equivalent Associate degree preferred
• Excellent with math, spelling and grammar
• Great with computers databases and fast/accurate typing and keyboarding
• Previous law firm billing experience preferred
