Valve Service Tech
Contract to hire
Northwest Houston location
***Some travel required (could be overnight)
SUMMARY
Service, assembly, test, and repair of valves & components
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide service and customer support during field visits
- Perform hands-on workshop and/or on-site disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, and reassembly of valves
- Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks on valves and electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators
- Troubleshoot, test, repair and service valves and actuators
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Produce timely and detailed service reports
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Ability to work flexible shifts on weekends and nights and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Must be willing to travel to domestic and international locations on short notice
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, to communicate effectively with all contacts
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school education
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in valve/actuator and demonstrated ability
