Position Overview
A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support and oversee general accounting operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with financial reporting, audits, and budgeting processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations

  • Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, intercompany, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal accounting policies

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation

  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to leadership

  • Assist with tax filings and support tax compliance requirements

  • Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar systems)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with ERP systems

  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance

  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site position

  • Occasional overtime may be required during month-end or year-end close periods
