Overview
We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join a growing accounting team supporting a portfolio of multifamily and/or student housing properties. This role is responsible for full-cycle property accounting, working closely with property managers, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of 8–10 properties
- Prepare and review monthly property financial packages
- Perform bank reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
- Analyze variances and provide insight into property performance
- Partner with property managers and operations teams on financial matters
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end processes
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within the property management system
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–6+ years of property accounting experience (multifamily or student housing preferred)
- Experience with Entrada property management software strongly preferred (or similar systems such as Yardi, MRI, or RealPage)
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and month-end close
- Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Compensation & Details
- Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000
- Full-time, on-site role
