Bankruptcy Attorney

Houston, TX | Full-Time or Reduced-Hour Schedule Available

Our downtown Houston office is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney with at least 5 years of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy experience. We welcome both partnership-track and off-track candidates, including attorneys seeking a reduced-hour schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Represent secured creditors, unsecured creditors, official committees, trustees, and debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 matters
  • Handle complex bankruptcies, workouts, restructurings, and distressed financial situations
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, proofs of claim, and other bankruptcy-related filings
  • Conduct legal research, prepare case strategy, and provide courtroom support
  • Advise clients on asset protection and bankruptcy-related issues
  • Attend creditor meetings, hearings, and court proceedings
  • Communicate effectively with trustees, courts, local counsel, and opposing counsel

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas
  • Minimum 5 years of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy experience
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent business judgment and professionalism
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong academic credentials and client-service orientation
