Junior Property Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Property Manager to join our growing team in West Houston. This role offers excellent benefits, strong career growth opportunities, and a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
In this position, you will work closely with senior property management professionals to oversee a diverse portfolio of retail centers, office buildings, and industrial properties. Your primary objective will be to support asset performance by maximizing cash flow while ensuring each property remains an attractive and well-maintained space for tenants and the surrounding community.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Operational Support
- Assist in preparing and implementing annual operating and capital improvement budgets
- Support invoice coding and ensure compliance with billing procedures
- Process and monitor invoicing for rent, additional services, tenant charges, and after-hours requests
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly owner reporting packages
- Assist with tenant ledger reconciliations and collections
- Coordinate and distribute tenant communications, bulletins, and updates
- Support Property Managers with additional financial and operational tasks as needed
Administrative Functions
- Maintain organized records including insurance, warranties, and sales documentation
- Assist with reconciliation calculations and tenant correspondence in coordination with accounting
- Professionally handle incoming calls, tenant requests, and service issues
- Prepare and distribute new tenant onboarding packets
- Maintain accurate tenant contact records and communications
- Coordinate scheduling and general property communication with tenants
- Process check requests, accounting transaction forms (ATFs), and expense reports
- Issue work orders and service authorizations to vendors as needed
Property & Facility Oversight
- Assist with routine inspections of common areas, building exteriors, vacant suites, and grounds
- Identify maintenance needs and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely completion
- Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programs across all building systems
- Participate in maintaining high property standards and tenant satisfaction
- Ability to safely access areas requiring ladder use as part of inspections
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience (property management experience preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Property management/accounting systems (e.g., Yardi or similar)
- Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial processes
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
