QC Lab Technician – Immediate Need
Temp-to-Hire | Up to $19/hr
North Houston (77073) | Onsite Only
We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Lab Technician to perform laboratory testing that evaluates the physical characteristics of materials and ensures all products meet established quality standards. This role requires timely, accurate execution of tests to minimize scrap and support consistent production quality.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and specialized lab tests to verify material specifications
• Accurately document results and enter data into ERP/MRP systems
• Follow established procedures, instructions, and production schedules
• Support quality initiatives by identifying deviations and reporting issues promptly
• Work effectively in a plant environment with exposure to heat
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Previous manufacturing or laboratory experience required
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to input data into ERP/MRP systems
• Ability to interpret schedules, procedures, and written instructions
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted
• Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, simple multiplication/division)
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime
• Must successfully pass a background check, reference check, and drug screening
