Legal Assistant needed for  litigation boutique based in Houston, Texas, nationally recognized for its success in high-stakes commercial litigation and trial work. The firm represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex business disputes and has a reputation for aggressive advocacy, strategic thinking, and courtroom excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct administrative and legal support to Shareholder and assigned litigation teams

  • Prepare, revise, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence

  • Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation activities

  • Assist with court filings (state and federal), including e-filing and docket management

  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel

  • Manage case files and document management systems, both physical and electronic

  • Track deadlines, organize case materials, and ensure compliance with court rules and internal procedures

  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

  • Assist with trial preparation, including assembling binders, managing exhibits, and supporting in-court logistics as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary in a litigation practice (trial experience strongly preferred)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management software, and e-filing systems

  • Strong knowledge of Texas and federal court rules and procedures

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines

  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a high-end litigation boutique or trial firm

  • Familiarity with legal software such as NetDocuments or similar

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification is a plus
