Legal Assistant needed for Downtown Firm
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to Partner Evan Moeller in connection with banking, financial services, and commercial litigation matters, as well as corporate transactions.

Draft, edit, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, contracts, loan agreements, and corporate filings.

Manage and maintain attorney calendars, docketing, and case deadlines for both litigation and transactional projects.

Coordinate filings in state and federal courts, including electronic submissions through eFileTexas, PACER, and related systems.

Assist in the preparation of discovery responses, trial binders, witness lists, and exhibits for hearings, mediations, and trials.

Support due diligence, entity formation, and corporate governance documentation for business clients.

Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal team members.

Maintain organized electronic and hard copy files using the firm’s document management system.

Track attorney time and prepare client billing and expense reports.

Handle general administrative duties such as scheduling, scanning, and correspondence management.
Qualifications
-
Minimum of 3–5 years of legal assistant experience, preferably supporting banking, financial services, commercial litigation, or corporate attorneys.

Experience in a law firm environment required; prior AmLaw 200 experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems (iManage, NetDocuments, or similar).

Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures, including e-filing requirements.

Excellent communication, proofreading, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
