Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Near Bush Intercontinental Airport – Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $22/hour

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team near Bush Airport. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting daily logistics operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries to ensure timely shipments

• Maintain accurate shipment and delivery records, including tracking and issue resolution

• Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations (customs, tariffs, etc.)

• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies

• Optimize transportation costs by comparing carrier rates and finding efficient routes

• Communicate shipment status and updates to internal teams

• Manage inventory, order verification, and special order tracking

• Support pre-shipment inspections and sampling processes as needed

• Assist with continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (Mercury Gate preferred)

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of international shipping/imports/exports a plus

• Customer service mindset with ability to multitask

• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a strong team player

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
