Inside Sales Engineer
Direct Hire; up to 75K + bonus
SW Houston
**Mechanical Engineering degree HIGHLY prefer; engineering degree required
Duties:
- Serve as primary technical resource for sales team, addressing technical inquiries and providing accurate, timely information
- Understand customer requirements, recommend appropriate products or solutions, and provide detailed proposals and quotations
- Collaborate with outside sales team to develop and execute strategies for new business
- Engage with customers to build relationships, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and internal teams
- Interpret customer specifications and technical drawings to identify suitable products/solutions
- Develop customized solutions based on client needs, including product configuration, system integration, and value-added services
- Stay updated on product advancements, industry trends, and competitive offerings to ensure the best possible customer solutions
- Prepare technical documentation, pricing, and proposal presentations for customer meetings
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in CRM
- Contribute to regular sales forecasts and reports to monitor performance against targets
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Sales, or related field is a MUST
- 2-3 years’ experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role
- Strong understanding of capital equipment, sales and sales cycle, and manufacturing/fabrication
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with a focus on customer engagement
- CRM software experience (SAP, Salesforce) and technical drawing tools (AutoCAD)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering superior and memorable service
Other Info:
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Up to 25% travel on-site with flexible work schedule
- Based in the Corporate office in Houston, TX when not travelling
- Office hours Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
