Vendor / Data Specialist
Pay Rate: $33–$36 per hour
Status: Temporary (indefinite duration)
Schedule: Hybrid – onsite with 1 remote day per week (Fridays)
Hours: Standard business hours with availability for 7:30 AM calls as needed
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Vendor / Data Specialist to support the Drilling and Completions Engineering team with purchase order processing and data management. This role requires a high level of accuracy, ownership, and follow-through, as the work involves large volumes of detailed data and process-driven tasks. The ideal candidate is confident, well spoken, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a tedious but critical workflow independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the purchase order process for Drilling and Completions Engineers
• Perform accurate and timely data entry related to vendor and purchasing activities
• Review, validate, and maintain purchase order data to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Own assigned data and purchasing processes from start to finish
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or missing information
• Participate in early morning calls as needed, including 7:30 AM check-ins
• Maintain organized records and documentation within internal systems
• Contribute positively to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
Required Qualifications
• Strong data entry and administrative experience with a high attention to detail
• Ability to manage repetitive, process-driven tasks while maintaining accuracy
• Confident communication skills and professional phone presence
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership of work
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using NetSuite (highly preferred)
• Prior experience supporting engineering, operations, or procurement teams
• Background working with purchase orders, vendors, or supply chain data
