General Manager – Electronics Recycling Franchise
Full-Time | Base + Performance Incentives
The Woodlands, TX
We are hiring a hands-on General Manager to lead the daily operations of an electronics recycling franchise. This is a true mini-CEO role with ownership over people, process, and performance — from sourcing inbound electronics through community and business partners, to warehouse operations, resale, and scrap recovery.
Essential Functions
- Manage inbound pickups and partnerships (municipalities, businesses, junk haulers, community orgs)
- Oversee warehouse flow: intake, sorting, testing, resale vs. scrap decisions
- Lead resale operations (pricing, listings, shipping accuracy) and scrap recovery
- Partner with carriers (UPS/USPS/FedEx) and downstream recyclers
- Lead, train, and hold accountable a small operations team
- Own weekly KPIs: revenue, margin, throughput, inventory, safety, and data handling
- Improve systems, layout, and processes to keep materials moving efficiently
- Provide clear reporting to the franchise owner and escalate issues early
Competencies / Requirements
- 2–5+ years of operations leadership experience (warehouse, logistics, recycling, resale, manufacturing, or similar)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership mentality
- Proven people management experience (hiring, training, performance management)
- Comfortable owning KPIs and running day-to-day operations independently
- Basic to intermediate understanding of financials and projections (revenue, margin, labor vs. output)
- Tech-comfortable (inventory systems, dashboards, eCommerce tools a plus)
- Valid driver’s license; ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Flexible schedule to support pickups, shipping days, and peak volume
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience with e-waste, recycling, resale, or scrap operations
- Familiarity with eBay, Amazon, or other resale platforms
- Forklift or warehouse equipment experience
