Job Title: Technical Accounting Manager – Energy Trading
(Alternative: Finance Manager – Energy Trading)
Location: Houston, TX (100% In-Office, No Travel)
Position Overview
We are creating a new role to support our CFO on both day-to-day and long-term technical accounting initiatives. Driven by significant business growth, international expansion, and increasing organizational complexity, this position will be a hands-on, detail-focused individual contributor role. The successful candidate will thrive in the weeds of technical accounting and reporting, with no expectation of people management in the near term. This is not a Controller role and will not involve transactional tasks (journal entries, AP, AR), but rather high-level, complex accounting that is critical to the CFO function.
The right candidate will serve as the CFO’s right hand on technical accounting — someone he can trust to handle accounting complexities while he focuses on broader strategy and growth initiatives.
