Business Development Manager
Support Services Group
Direct-Hire/Full-time | Houston, TX (US)

Professional Alternatives is growing and looking to add a Business Development Manager to our Support Services Group. The ideal applicant will be a strong sales professional with excellent relationship-building skills and a track record of B2B sales success, ideally within accounting-related industries.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, and pursue new client opportunities across assigned industries and geographies. Proactively generate leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and social selling.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their hiring needs and delivering tailored talent solutions. Build long-term partnerships through regular check-ins, in-person visits, and consistent communication.
  • Develop and execute customized sales strategies that align with market trends, client goals, and our firm’s strengths. Leverage CRM tools to track pipelines, forecast sales, and analyze performance.
  • Maximize client value by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities. Leverage our internal recruitment team and delivery engine to present scalable workforce solutions.
  • Stay active in relevant trade associations and business groups to expand your network and establish a strong professional presence. Represent the firm at key industry events, conferences, and local business forums.
  • Work closely with recruiters and leadership teams to align goals, streamline service delivery, and contribute to overall company growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous sales experience, preferably in staffing, recruiting, or B2B services. A strong understanding of contingent workforce solutions is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, backed by documented success and compensation history.
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

*This position will receive base salary commensurate with experience, commissions, benefits + mileage/expense reimbursement.
