Manager, Electrical
Direct Hire; up to 190K + bonus
Prefer Midland
Duties:
- Serve as liaison between Management and Field Operations
- Supervise and coordinate activities of electricians, instrumentation/automation, and measurement technicians
- Design, install, commission, operate, and maintain electrical power distribution infrastructure
- Lead troubleshooting electrical power distribution and automation issues in field
- Collaborate with Asset Integrity & Reliability team to ensure measurement data quality in Maximo; coordinate training electricians, instrumentation/automation, and measurement technicians
- Enhance visibility and communication with leadership and manage third-party vendors to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, cost-effectiveness, and deliverables
- Ensure safety of personnel by monitoring and reporting safety hazards and concerns to immediate Supervisor and/or Safety Director
- Leads efforts in development of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Oversee and manage troubleshooting of operational problems for assigned region
- Manage/maintain accurate timecards of direct reports; participate in performance management, hiring, development and disciplinary processes; maintain qualified staff and manage employee productivity and scheduling; ensure ongoing training to develop employees for advancement
- Adhere to policies/procedures – KPA, JSAs, Training, Incident Reports, and Safety Observations
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related with 10 years’ experience with electrical power, instrumentation, automation management, and 3 years’ experience as a supervisor leading teams of field technicians/programmers highly preferred
- Bachelor’s and 5+ years of experience required; Microsoft Office Suite
- Maximo Experience utilizing Maximo or similar; knowledge and application of Modbus/Profibus
- Design, installation, operations and maintenance of electrical power distribution for medium and high voltage (480V – 22kV)
- SCADA systems such as Ignition, Wonderware, Simatic, iFix, or Intellution
- Strong knowledge and experience with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and UL; experience with variable frequency drives (VFD), MCC, switchgear, transformers, relays, grounding and bonding techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organization; self-motivated and strong time-management; skills managing projects and implementations
- Knowledge in utilizing electrical design software (e.g. AutoCAD, ETAP)
- Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally across all levels; fast-paced environment with constant change
- Proactive problem-solver with strong critical and analytic skills
