QHSE Specialist – ASAP
Temp/TTH; up to $45 hourly
Kenedy, TX (**will cover operations surrounding this region)

Duties:
 

  • Supports and advises the South Texas operations team on procedures, guidelines and best practices.
  • Assists with the HSE program and management of the HSE, KPA system.
  • Ensures employees’ safety program compliance through KPA EHS on-line system.
  • Assists with safety program implementations and audit processes of policies and procedures.
  • Participates and at times facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety meetings.
  • Assists with incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis processes.
  • Provides and participates in company, federal, state, local, and customer required trainings.
  • Conducts safety audits, inspections, and tracks to completion.
  • Assists with regional activities and provides support as required.
  • Contributes positively influences change-management with the safety culture.
  • Identifies and appraises acts, behaviors and conditions which could produce incidents and financial losses and evaluates potential extent of injuries resulting from accidents.
  • Assists and helps with fleet management.

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Safety and Health, or relevant experience; prefer 3 years in oil and gas
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NIOSH, PEC, and NSC are required.
  • Working knowledge of QHSE Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Industry recognized QHSE training certifications and professional designations (i.e., OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NCCER, CHST, OHST, COSS, CSHO, etc.) preferred
  • Strong leader; manage and coach personnel through performance management
  • Team oriented, great communication, strong organization and time management, and solutions oriented; self-motivated and eager to affect change
