Bookkeeper – Commercial Real Estate
Location: Upper Heights, Houston, TX
Schedule: Fully In-Office
Compensation: Up to $67,000 + Full Benefits
We’re looking for a detail-driven Bookkeeper to join our clients team in the Upper Heights. This role is fully on-site and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong grasp of property-related accounting functions a huge plus!
What You’ll Do:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for a portfolio of commercial properties, including accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain accurate rent rolls, track tenant payments, and handle billing adjustments
- Reconcile expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Support lease administration, including abstracting leases and ensuring billing aligns with lease terms
- Coordinate with property managers and vendors to resolve billing issues or discrepancies
- Generate property-level financial reports and assist with audit preparation
- Ensure compliance with relevant real estate accounting practices and regulatory standards
What You’ll Bring:
- Proficiency in accounting software (Yardi, QuickBooks, or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of rent schedules, CAM reconciliations, and lease structures
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience in real estate or construction accounting a PLUS!
